This free service is Call Wave's most advanced call alert plan. I know how frustrating it is to miss calls when your online and I'm sure you've wished you could be alerted to who is calling without having to log off, pick up the phone and answer a call.

In that case, you may also want to consider using this alert services to avoid the cost of a second phone line while having the power to decide when and how to answer phone messages. Basically, to decide on the right Internet call alert, you'll need to know which services are available, how much each feature costs, and which features each provider has.

That's where I might be able to help.
Users are charged a monthly fee of $7.95 in addition to Busy Call forwarding charges from their local telephone company.

The Review Guy Says

Wow! I'm impressed -- the Internet answering machine features alone I think are worth the price of this package. If of course you decide to sign up for the service after your free trial. Remember there is no charge for trying the service. In fact, if you decide you don't need the service, just send me an email but subscribing to our newsletter, and I'll help you unsubscribe.

For me, I like Callwave cause you can have your voicemail send you an e-mail or contact you on your cell phone to let you know that you have a new message. That’s right – your voicemail sends you an email. Now, it's also easy to check phone messages via the Web or remotely -- which helps for busy families and especially for small businesses that need call alerts. In fact, voicemail is now one of the main reasons people are using call alerts – even if they have a broadband Internet connection at home. Why? These services automate the process of receiving voicemails so that you don’t have to call your home and press a bunch of buttons to retrieve your voicemail.

I like this plan because it provides the basics -- the computer caller ID feature lets you find out who's calling you when you're online, and decide whether you should disconnect and call them back. You can even listen to voicemail messages while you're online -- saving you from disconnecting to find out only that you got a telemarketing call :-( A solid plan, but it still misses some of the features that I think make Internet call alerts and answering machines useful.
